It’s about making you feel comfortable

Parliament Hill Dental

First Visit

Our dental practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that some of you or even your child may sometimes feel anxious prior to visiting the Ottawa dentist. At Parliament Hill Dental we are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel reassured while providing the best care possible.

Your first visit is about comfort, professionalism, and your health

When you come to visit us for the first time, we will take the time to review your dental and medical history, speak with you to learn more about your dental and overall health and offer you to take X-rays and intra-oral pictures of your teeth to make sure we don’t miss anything hidden in hard to reach places. Our dentists will then meet with you to discuss your X-rays, create your own treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have.

Finally, one of our hygienists will clean, polish and inspect your teeth in your gums.

If a female patient is pregnant, we make sure to prevent any radiation exposure to the baby suing a lead apron or by simply postponing the X-ray examination.

Remember to bring these important documents for your first appointment with us!

  • Your patient information form filled out (see First Visit Form section)
  • Your insurance card
  • Any other information you think could help us give you better oral health

Having a healthy smile requires regular checkups

The American Dental Association recommends a visit to your dentist twice a year for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings in order to keep your teeth white and gums healthy. We know that you live an active life and your schedule is busy, so when you’re planning to visit our office, please remember your appointments will probably last between 45 and 90 minutes.

Patient Registration Form

When you come for your first appointment, we will ask that you fill out a short form giving us important information about your overall health and oral health. In preparation for your visit and to speed things up, please print and fill out the form at home if you can.

  1. Download the document (pdf)
  2. Print the form and fill it out
  3. Bring it with you for your first visit
