Dental Crowns & Bridges, Ottawa Dentist

Repairing Structural Problems

Dental crowns and bridges can improve the appearance of your smile, helping you feel more confident.

These restorations can fill space left by missing teeth and help you maintain your facial shape. They can also restore your ability to speak and chew properly.

Dental crowns and bridges can also work as implant restorations. They can be permanently secured to a surgically placed dental implant. Combined with dental crowns and bridges, dental implants can help restore the look and function of your smile.

Your dentist will assess your oral health and recommend the most suitable treatment option for you. If dental implants are an option for you, a referral can be sent to a specialist by our dentists.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are hollow, artificial teeth placed over a decayed or damaged tooth to restore its original shape, size, and colour. Dental crowns strengthen and improve the appearance of a broken tooth that would otherwise be lost. Crowns are durable and can be made of various materials, including porcelain and metal.

At Parliament Hill Dental, our dentists can also place a crown on top of a dental implant to restore the shape and function of your tooth.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a natural-looking restoration that 'bridges' a gap of missing teeth in your mouth. Made up of one or more artificial teeth, the bridge is affixed to the teeth on either side of the gap to fill the space.

A bridge can help prevent your other teeth from shifting positions to fill the space, which could lead to more serious dental issues, including gum disease. With proper care, a dental bridge can last for many years.
